JSC  “Žiemgalos automobiliai” was founded in 1993. The main activities of the enterprise are trade in trucks, buses, as well as special purpose machinery.

In year 2003 the enterprise signed the cooperation agreement with Minsk Vehicle Plant (Belarus), and in 2004 JSC “Žiemgalos automobiliai” was granted the general right to assemble “MAZ” vehicles as well as sell them in all European Union countries.

 

For the implementation of this goal JSC “Žiemgalos automobiliai” founded the branch establishment in Vilnius and built the vehicle assembly shop “MAZ Baltija” at Savanorių pr. 129. During the grand opening  on 23 September 2004 company presented the first MAZ vehicle, assembled in Lithuania.

 

Our company begun production of Euro – 4 standard MAZ vehicles in 2006, in year 2011 first trucks of standard Euro – 5 rolled off the assembly line.
In ever changing market conditions our company takes on new challenges by mounting special equipment on chassis MAZ, also trade of various capacity trailers and semitrailers.
